denied it was a terrorist attack.)
HISTORY IS AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF INFORMATION. WE EITHER STUDY IT
AND LEARN FROM IT OR AT TIMES WE'LL SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES. THEY
CAN BE HORRIBLE.
GOING BACK TO WORLD WAR II, AMERICAN SHIPS WERE ARMED, AND WE
CARRIED A FULL GUN CREW ABOARD TO MAN THE GUNS. TODAY, WE HAVE HUGE
TANKERS, THE SIZE OF FOOTBALL FIELDS, ROAMING THE SEAS, WITH CREWS
HALF THE SIZE OF THOSE ON A WWII LIBERTY SHIP. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT
WE ARM THOSE TANKERS, NOW, TODAY. THE FRENCH TANKER WAS OBVIOUSLY
A TARGET OF A TERRORIST ATTACK. THE ODDS THAT IT WAS ANYTHING ELSE
ARE MINUTE. IT WASN’T SADDAM HUSSEIN, BECAUSE HE WOULD NOT TAKE THAT
RISK AT THIS TIME. There is no environmental catastrophe too
destructive or disastrous, even for the peoples of the world at
large, for Saddam or the Muslim fanatics to undertake. The longer
Saddam Hussein is allowed to remain in control, the greater ability
he will have to dominate or win a war in the mid-east. The truth is
that once he is in control, he also largely controls a good
percentage of the world's oil, and that means he can severely impact
the lives of all Americans, as well as other countries on this
continent. He may be 10,000 miles away, but he is capable of
affecting how we live and how we BUT YOU CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR
THAT IT WAS AN AL QAEDA OR SIMILAR ORGANIZATION. PERHAPS THEY HIT
