ECONOMIC SLAVERY ACT OF 2005
SENATE BILL - S256 HOUSE BILL - HR 685

ECONOMIC SLAVERY IN AMERICA NOW A FACT!

Are you among the millions Enslaved by Visa & MasterCard?

ALWAYS REMEMBER: IT MAY BE ILLEGAL TO PRAY IN PUBLIC,
BUT IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO PREY UPON THE PUBLIC! [Credit Card Cartel]

Modern Day Chain Gang Prisoner

Consumer Credit Card Debt Stands at $750 Billion...and Rising!
Total Consumer Debt Stands at a Shocking $1.655 trillion!

Over the past two decades, millions of Americans have voluntarily become indentured servants (Economic Slaves) to the giant banking industry, with familiar names like MBNA, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Capital One, Citibank, Fleet Boston, etc.

In Colonial times, an "Indentured Servant" was a debtor who was sentenced by a British Court to a period of servitude in order to work off his or her debts, and often they were shipped to the new colonies to be sold to business owners for the amount of the debt. It was a form of Slavery, and they were literally white slaves. It was quite common in the original thirteen colonies. Immigrants from Europe, England and Ireland, who were too poor to pay for their passage, were also sold into slavery, with husbands, wives and children often separated, never to find one another again. It was more than a hundred years before the Black Slave Trade between Africa and the British colonies flourished.

Today, Servitude exists in a form not too unsimilar to that distant period in our history, although the conditions have changed a bit. What it really amounts to is is Economic Slavery, for credit card debtors who find it difficult, if not well nigh impossible, to pay on the principle of their indebtedness, and therefore use a good part of each month's wages merely paying interest on their debts.
It becomes a treadmill, and the sole beneficiaries are America's large banks. The culprit, of course, is the system of credit cards, mainly through the debtors ill-advised use and abuse of Visa and MasterCard.

Bribery, pure and simple, by Citibank and other banks, has led us in this direction. The steep rise in credit card debt since the early 90's can be directly attributed to the promises of rewards to those who make their most ordinary purchase on credit cards. It is a form of enticement that is nothing more than a subtle form of bribery. These bribes are responsible for the out-right entrapment of millions of Americans in a "web of debt", a web woven with threads of deceit and misrepresentation.
These millions now work several days each month solely for the banks, the monstrous grasping greedy multinational banks, as they attempt to keep burdensome debt from overwhelming and crushing them, using money that they need for other purposes, such as medical insurance, or better living conditions, or simply to feed thier children.
How many of America's homeless got there through credit card debt? Once many of the homeless were people with mental problems. When I owned a business in Los Angeles' MacArthur Park area I saw them every single day . They paraded by, some dirty and disheveled, some with shopping carts holding all their belongings, or bicycles with bags tied everywhere, muttering to themselves as they shuffled along. Today's homeless are quite different, people (sometimes whole families) living in cars and campers, at least shielded from the rain, but still with no place to call their own.
How did they get in that position. All too often, through credit card debt. Credit cards are a huge part of our country's problems, an easy way to run up debt. You can spend money you don't have for things you don't need, and find yourself in difficulty.
Eventually it catches up with you. Money needed for food and rent goes to service debts to Visa and MasterCard. It is a far greater problem than is realized. It's like a wound that never stops bleeding, but the pity of it all is that it is self-inflicted.

The chains may not be visible, but they're as strong as those you see in these pictures, Visa or MasterCard, and it's called Voluntary Servitude.

Gambling and Credit Cards Just Don't Mix!
Talk about getting even with the interlopers...the Indians (Native Americans) now do it easily and they don't have to go on the warpath any longer. They have discovered that the peaceful pathway, laid out and smoothed over for them my Mahatma Ghandi, is by far the best...as long as it is lined with One Armed Bandits, green clothed tables, and a Bingo parlor. Now, as the white settlers move in on them by Lexus, Cadillac, Porche, mini-vans, and RV's (replacing the Calistoga wagons) the reservation, once the bane of their existence, is now overcrowded, but welcoming those damn European white-eyes! They've got them working for the native Americans in droves.
But, I don't blame the tribal elders. They've every right to mulct these white-eyes. Hell, if they'd drive across the burning deserts to Las Vegas to give away their money, then this saves them all that time and gas expense. Why not give that gas money to the tribes? That makes sense.
Hey, Kirk Kerkorian, Las Vegas biggest Casino owner, is already worth six and four tenths billions. Hasn't he got enough?

This story, however. is not entirely about gambling. This story is about credit cards, and here's where the suckers really shine, spending money they don't have, running up thousands in credit card debt.
Ho ho ho, there is no Santa Claus, little dears. There's only a red suit with a fat old man in it, and he's probably just trying to earn a few bucks to pay off his credit card debt! No, he'll never pay that off. He needs it for the interest on that credit card debt. That's like burning up five to ten twenty dollar bills every month, money thrown away.

AIR MILES IS A FRAUD, ESPECIALLY UPON LOWER INCOME PEOPLE. THE RICH PAY OFF THEIR CARDS AND GAIN AIR MILES--WHILE THE POOR GAIN DEBT.

$26,000 Gambling Debt, All on Credit Cards
Now let's talk about one lady, Daureen. She ran up twenty-six thousand dollars in credit card debt. She played Bingo. She must have had fairly good credit, because she had enough cards and a high enough credit limit so that she could do so. After all, she had always had a good work ethic, and was one hell of a waitress. Eventually she had to take two and three jobs at a time, because she was trying to pay down her credit cards, but it didn't seem to get her anywhere. When she and her companion did the splits, suddenly she had additional expenses and no spare money. Then, damn, she lost one of her jobs, the best one.
She scrambled, but once you lose that momentum, those Long Tapered Slimey Fingers of those Bankers are going to keep dipping into your little purse. They no longer have to hire thugs to collect their money, as they once did, in Las Vegas. (Oh, they still have a few of them there, but that's another story.) Each gambler who runs up credit card debt has a nice persistent "collector" who calls them early in the morning, or at nine o'clock at night, and if you have five or six or seven credit cards and they're all maxxed out, just think of all the new friends you have suddenly gained. The woman, like many I have talked to, was in tears before work, and in tears after work. She cried on my shoullder. She cried on other shoulders. I am a sucker for tears, but in no way am I a $26,000 tear-sucker.
Twenty-six thousand dollars in debt is one hell of a wallop for anyone, and she got it right in the bread-basket! Certainly she got herself into that mess, and as a responsible adult, it is up to her to get herself out of it. Responsibly she began working at it. Brave little lady; I admire her guts. Yet, why do these credit card companies encourage spending by giving our rewards for it, and at the sqme time, encourage outrages of this sort by allowing cardholders more credit than they can reasonably handle? Why? Why Citibank? Why CapitalOne? Why OFleet?
It's so very easy to get into debt now-a-days, easy to run those credit cards right up to the limit, max them out. And, its not like IT WOULD BE IF your wallet was running on empty...as it would if we were on a cash basis and plunking down five and ten dollar bills, because with plastic you don't think of it as money lost...not at the time you're getting your butt into debt anyway. It is when you get your bill from Visa or MasterCard or Discover the following month that you really notice what a greeaaat time you must have had, that is, if you really get a kick out of losing money. You know, its sort of like a sailor who goes ashore and gets drunk. He doesn't really know what a great time he had until the next morning when all his buddies tell him all the fun things he did, while he's nursing a head the size of a watermelon.
Americans must really be enjoying themselves nowadays, because they're getting deeper and deeper into debt and as he national credit card debt approaches $700 billion, they should be the happiest people in the world. After all, they owe more money than anyone else in the world too! One advantage that poor skinny guy in Afghanistan, wearing ragged pajamas and a turban, has over us, he doesn't have that growly voiced babe from Capital or OFleet calling him about a late payment at nine o'clock at night!
But hey, for a little more air mileage, a nice bribe from Citibank, it's all worth it, isn't it? They know you'll probably never use it, but that's the sucker-bait you fell for!

WHILE CREDIT CARD BANKS ARE REAMING THE CONSUMERS TOO!
  • CREDIT CARD FACT:It may be illegal to pray in public, but it is not illegal to prey upon the public. (Motto: Predatory Lenders. Credit Card Cartel)
  • CREDIT CARD FACT: Cardholders who are paying $100 to $250 a month in interest, have $1200 to $3,000 a year less money to spend with your business, or any other business.[Simple Arithmetic.]
CREDIT CARD FACT: Cardholders who are too deep in debt are effectively removed from the market, because they cannot run up further debt. [Common Sense]
  • CREDIT CARD FACT: The very worst thing you can do for your children is to allow them to have credit cards. They can louse up their credit for years by failing to adhere to the rules. Believe me, if yours handle their credit cards responsibly, you've got a future millionaire on your hands.[Common Sense] CREDIT CARD FACT: Credit cards help people buy things that they really can not afford in the first place, often at a cost that far exceeds its value. [Common Sense]
  • CREDIT CARD FACT: The Rule of More: You can cheat more people, more easily, more quickly, in more ways, for more money, with less risk, through credit card scams, than any other method ever devised in the history of finance. [Creed: Credit Card Mafia]
