Morbid Poems 4 Morbid People

NO RED-NECKS ALLOWED

They don’t approve of hate, hate, hate,

At Arizona State, State, State.

Everyone must now conform,

Before assignment to a dorm.

Well trained in sensitivity,

In French, reply, “Oui, oui, oui.”

They’ll teach you not to hate, hate, hate,

At Arizona State, State, State.

They’ll take your individuality

And change it to conformity.

Brain-washing: Sensitivity,

In Spanish just say, “Si, si, si.”

You must face this fate, fate, fate,

At Arizona State, State, State.

If you “hate” you must confess,

And answer them, “Yes, yes, yes.”

They want students that all think alike,

Or they tell them, “Hey, go take a hike.”

Marching like Zonbies at A.S.U.,

Programmed to think as they tell them to,

That’s Liberal Philosophy,

With new versions of our history.

But just don’t dare to hate, hate, hate,

At Arizona State, State, State.

Practice your sex in any room,

But watch your speech, that spells your doom.

Your welcome there is then repealed,

Just say it wrong, your fate is sealed.

There’s nothing wrong with A.S.U.

If you think as they want you to.

Well, this poem might raise some hackles, be mininterpreted, misunderstood, misquoted and Miss Ameria too.  But being forced to confess, or play games in which them seem to do so, does two things; it demeans the player, and it makes those in minority groups who are present super-sensitive, always looking trouble.  Then, after a supposed slight, they begin using it as a weapon, in short, there's never a balance and this tips the scales in favor of the complaintants.

The Communist Show Trials in Moscow in the 30s were the very essence of what it going on today at ASU, and then, as each former high-ranking official testified to the error of his ways in court, his fate was sealed. He would be executed shortly afterwards, then his family would be deported to Siberia, the Gulag.  Oddly enough, I've never heard a real Liberal, a socialist or a communist, condemning such executions or the unjust imprisonments, or the torture that goes on in communist countries.

Not one of them mentions or condemns the 17,000 executions carried out just ninety miles off our shores in Cuba.  Now, that demonstrates real sensitivity by the communists, doesn't it?  Whether they call themselves communists or socialists or even extreme Liberals, it is all about mind-control, domination, subjugation. This is what A.S.U.'s program is all about.

RED-NECKS' ANSWER

Well, I’m a Red-neck at A.S.U.

My Pick-up there is royal blue.

I’ll tell them where to shove their dorm,

When they insist I must conform.

“If Freedom of Speech worries you,

Bub, plug your ears, I’m not yet through.”

“Liberals, well, just kiss my ass,

Now, you’re thinking that’s kind of crass.

Well, I like broads with sex appeal,

Them’s what makes my tires squeal.

When I lay sixty feet of rubber down,

They know there’s a Red-neck aroun’.

“But us Red-necks we got a code,

We stand ready to share the load.

We know that freedom just ain’t free,

It ain’t won with sensitivity.

Sometimes when things just don’t seem right,

One might just have to go and fight.”

“Anti-war, Dude, well we are too,

Yet we know what we got to do.

Yeah, our country is free today,

We’ll tell you why it’s still that way.

Red-necks come in black, white and brown,

And we’re ones who won’t let our contry down.

"We respect that American flag,

We don’t treat it like a dirty rag.

When we see that red, white and blue,

Our hearts pump faster, yours should too.

We’re the Red-necks, black, white and brown,

And we’ll never let our country down!"

I don't hate.  I don't believe that we, as Americans should hate.  Especially each other.  I'm white, but I don't hate people because they are black or brown or any other different color.  I'm a Protestant, but I don't hate Catholics, Jews or Muslims because of their religion.  I'm straight, but I don't hate Gays or Lesbians because of their orientation.  And I am a Conservative, but I don't hate Liberals, well, not really.  Hate can be all consuming and cloud our judgment.

Merchant Marine: During the war I was a member of the merchant marine, such as we were designated, and we sailed to 28 different countries, met people wherever we went and had fun everywhere.  As seamen, we were fully integrated crews, the only service in WWII that was.

After the war I traveled the U.S. as a Sales Manager, often in the deep South, so I know what it was like then, altogether visiting 46 out of the 48 continental states.  Yes, in those early days after the war there were still separate "white and colored" restrooms, even drinking fountains.

But, let's get back to working aboard ships. We never had courses in sensitivity.  Just being courteous to those you met, friendly-like, you got along.  On board ship we had white, black, brown, men from Puerto Rico, Honduras, Egypt, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, England, Ireland, , China, Canada and who knows from where else.  We got along.  I never witnessed a fight aboard ship nor heard of one.  One Arab, from Yeman, continued to correspond with me until the 50s, and the Greek Captain of another ship wrote for more than ten years, until probably he passed away.  Six shipmates from those days, more than 60 years ago I am still in regular touch with, either by telephone, email, or letter.

Sure, there were trouble-makers, usually from the Communist cells, four or five men, that controlled the union crews aboard most of the ships, and were always preaching against the companies and government. They preached the wonders of communism, while with our own eyes we saw that conditions in Russia were far from what this men claimed.  Such are socialists and communists, full of lies, treachery and deceit.
