HOWARD'S VIEWS
ONE KIND DEED EACH DAY
by Howard E. Morseburg
If you’d like to make your life worthwhile,
Just do one kind deed each day.
To a tired clerk it may be a smile,
Or the “thank you” that you say!
Make a telephone call to an old friend
To pass a minute or two,
Or it may be a letter that you send;
It’s the small things that you do.

Instead of anger, you might change your way;
Why not practice courtesy?
You’ll find how much it’ll improve your day,
And how pleasant life can be.
There are a hundred ways to perform that deed,
To ease another’s mind.
Every time you do, it'll plant a seed,
That grows, to return in kind.

Should you wish to make your life worthwhile,
Take heed of your fellow man.
Always try to go that extra mile
As part of your daily plan.
A thoughtful act may give someone a lift,
Who’s feeling let-down and blue.
A friendly gesture is a precious gift
And so easy for you to do.

Give your life meaning in your own style,
And do it in your own way.
Just take time to make your life worthwhile,
And do one kind deed each day.
